The rules

All the official rules of MysticMC and our guidelines for player behavior.

If you notice any violations or have questions, you may open a ticket or ask staff on our Discord.

Any updates to the wiki are announced in the #changes channel on Discord. Reports about a staff member go through a Management Ticket.

1

Player Conduct

1

Respect Others

  • Treat others with respect and decency.
  • If someone is harassing you, report it and do not harass them back. It is recommended you report or /ignore any player you have issues with.
  • Don't contact or interact with someone who has blocked you.
  • Report other players through the proper channels such as directly through a staff member, or in a ticket on our Discord.
  • Sensitive issues or reports on staff can be done through a Management Ticket.
  • Do not argue or retaliate, report the player or move on.
2

Keep It Clean

  • No harassment, excessive swearing, excessive sexual content, hate speech, racism, or discussing sensitive topics.
    • Sensitive topics include: self-harm, politics, drugs, violence, religion.
    • Sexual content includes: inappropriate usernames, builds, signage, content, skins, and renamed items.
  • You are free to speak about anything if it stays in private chat and as long as the other party allows it.
    • Even in private chat, it is expected you respect everyone's boundaries.
  • Do not /ignore or block staff members as it obstructs moderation.
3

No Spamming, Begging, Advertising

  • You may advertise 1 in-game thing every 30 minutes per person and per location.
  • Only official server links or partnered content are allowed in-game.
  • Spamming includes:
    • Excessive use of capitalization.
    • Long sentences in all caps, or continuous use of capitalization. A few occasional all caps messages, especially short ones, are okay.
    • Identical messages or extremely similar messages.
    • Messages of mainly random letters. Eg. "wadawfsegerheiwoffjweoji"
  • Do not use obfuscated, underline, or hard to read colors such as dark shades of black for chat color. Italics are allowed.
4

English Only in Chat

  • Our staff team cannot moderate languages outside of English.
  • Non-English is allowed in private messages (/msg <username>).
2

Cheating & Exploits

5

No Hacking, Exploiting, Bug Abuse

  • Examples: X-ray, botting, kill aura, fly, free-cam.
  • Allowed clients and mods:
    • Fullbright.
    • Mini-map, waypoints, or anything that displays information already known in the F3 menu. No displaying cave layers or revealing things that you otherwise wouldn't be able to see.
    • OptiFine, Lunar Client, Badlion.
    • Performance and FPS increasers.
  • Any exploits that arise from bugs with any plugins or vanilla Minecraft features such as duping can not be used and must be reported. Rewards will be given based on severity.
6

No Automation of the Player

  • This includes botting (Baritone), auto-clickers, and key weights (putting a weight on your key, or having your key pressed down for you in any way).
  • Farm rules:
    • Fully automatic farms are allowed if for vanilla Minecraft items. Eg. an automatic iron-ingot farm is allowed.
    • Fully automatic farms for jobs are not allowed, and some amount of manual work must be done. Eg. fishing machines are not allowed, even if the mouse is manually held down, as it is difficult to verify key weighting.
    • Natural mob grinders where you only hold down a button to kill mobs are not allowed.
    • If the farm is indistinguishable between a key weight or auto-clicker, it is not allowed. You must be actively doing something such as moving around to harvest something, or refilling something often.
  • Litematica (auto-placing and schematics):
    • Litematica is a client side mod that assists with builds by allowing you to place schematics down, where you can fill in the schematics with your own materials. The use of Litematica's easy-place feature is allowed.
    • Any use of features that auto-swap blocks to your hotbar may result in Infinite Blocks disappearing, so be mindful.
    • This feature is purely a tool for players and builds. Do not use it for any exploit, especially related to jobs or money making methods.
    • Although it places things for you, you should still be active and moving on your own.
3

Claims & Grief Prevention

7

No Griefing ANYWHERE

  • Includes claimed land, unclaimed land, and revenge griefing.
  • Exception: the Resource World has claims disabled, thus leaving anything unattended means that it is considered abandoned, and any player that comes across it is free to take from it. Make farms, builds, and leave valuables there at your own risk.
  • Mass destruction of the map is also considered griefing. You may do any kind of destructive harvesting in the resource world (/wild).
  • No lava casting.
  • No filling other players' inventories with unwanted items, especially during crate rolling or events. This includes using crate items that give other players items.
8

Claims

  • Do not claim or build within 100 blocks of an existing claim without permission from the claim owner. Failure to do so may result in your build being moved.
  • Claim past just your build area to save a piece of land for future use.
  • Report rule breaking claims early. If they stay for weeks, staff may not remove them later.
  • You may request inactive claims be removed or moved:
    • You must have a valid reason for claim removal, such as being too close to your borders or it is in the way of expansion.
    • Generally the more established the claim, the more time we require before we remove inactive claims.
    • Do not request claims be removed just to take over a build or items in the claim.
  • Claims must be actively used, going to be used, reasonably developed, or contain something of value.
    • Thin strip claims, claim lines, or oddly shaped claims used primarily to reserve or block land are not allowed.
    • Placeholder claims should only be temporary and minimal in size, used sparingly, and show intended expansion within a reasonable timeframe.
    • The 100 block claim protection is a general rule and should not be abused with tiny claims for extra protection.
  • Do not trespass on claims. Ignoring requests may lead to punishment.
  • Offending claims may be removed or moved, or you may be contacted by staff.
9

No Random PvP

  • PvP must be consented to. If you agree to certain rules then you must follow them.
  • You automatically consent by entering any clearly marked PvP zones such as /warp PvP.
  • Do not teleport or trick players to a PvP area to fight them.
  • Do not fight from outside PvP zones such as spectator areas.
  • Hitting someone else even once allows them to hit or even kill you back, though it is recommended you just report them as fights may get confusing to judge.
  • Using items that negatively affect other players in PvP safe zones such as spawn is considered a form of unconsented PvP or griefing.
4

Economy & Trading

10

No Scamming, Fraud, Impersonation

  • Scamming is using deceit or dishonest methods to trick players into deals they would otherwise not have agreed to.
    • Eg. renaming an item to look like another, lying about an item's value, or severely mispricing items to a player who lacks knowledge such as a new player.
    • Low-balling or high-balling are allowed. Ultimately it is up to you to know the value of an item. If you do not know the value of an item, it is recommended you do not trade at all.
  • Impersonating includes using /nick to pretend to be someone else.
  • No real world trading. This includes selling or buying in-game items or money for real world currency and assets.
    • Trading in-game items or money for someone to buy you a rank or keys in the store is allowed.
    • Trading in-game items or money for digital items such as resource packs, artwork, skins, and schematics is allowed. Just be reasonable and fair, you still take on the risk of being scammed.
    • Gifting in-game items or money and buying things in the store for others on their behalf as a gift is allowed.
11

Shop and Economy

  • No useless or troll player warps, auction house listings, or chest shops.
  • No advertising shops or player warps in /ah. You may advertise while still looking to buy and looking to sell. Eg. a renamed shulker to "Mail me if you have X item".
  • Do not advertise within or near other shops without permission. Only make shops on claims you have permission in.
  • Do not modify crate items with the unmodifiable tag. This includes renaming, upgrading, or adding enchants to the items. It does not include items you are supposed to modify such as unbreakable tools. If you have a modified item, contact support to get it replaced.
  • Anything that allows you to make money that is not intended by the server is considered exploiting. Includes but is not limited to:
    • You can earn money from the Hunter job only from physically attacking the mob manually. Any use of farms that make use of thorns or other methods of AFK farming are not allowed.
    • Converting mobs created by spawners to mobs that pay cash from jobs is not allowed.
    • Purposely bypassing block protection for jobs is not allowed. Eg. placing and re-harvesting blocks for payment.
    • Portal mob farms are not allowed.
    • No bypassing item cooldowns, including dropping the item to other players.
  • Seeing through lava with mods or resource packs is allowed.
  • No ads in the community chest.
  • Player warp rules:
    • You can report player warps with extremely similar names to your existing warp. Eg. /pw Best_Logs and /pw Best_log would not be allowed, while /pw Shop and /pw Shopping would be, since Shop is a common word.
    • Paying players to rate your shop is allowed, but paying others to rate other shops is NOT allowed.
    • Do not use alt accounts to rate other shops.
12

Map Art

  • The use of schematics to build, including map arts, is allowed.
  • No reselling of map art created by someone else without their permission.
  • Map art like all builds must be claimed. Builds that are not claimed on purpose are considered abandoned, and griefing the map.
  • Builds that are no longer wanted can be removed for $25k in a ticket. Make sure to specify coords and world.
13

Player Auctions

  • Player auctions are where a player lists an item for a base price where other players can then bid increasing amounts of money to be able to purchase the item for the bid price.
  • Only one auction may be held at the same time.
  • Auctions may not last longer than 10 minutes.
  • Auctions may only be held 30 minutes apart from each other.
  • Punishable actions:
    • Fake bidding or backing out on bids.
    • Canceling or overly delaying an auction. Eg. if the top bid doesn't interest you.
    • Troll or spammy auctions.
14

Loaning Rules

  • Players are free to loan items, cash, and services but must do so at their own risk.
    • There is always a chance borrowers can not repay their loan.
    • Staff will try to retrieve the items or cash from the player, but might not be able to retrieve all of it.
    • Lenders should get collateral from the borrower for extra security, and always keep in touch and check up on borrowers.
    • Selling items with the promise of payment in the future is risky.
  • Be careful who you loan to.
    • Don't loan to brand new players, or players who don't fully understand what's happening.
    • Don't loan out a massive amount of items to a single player.
  • No predatory loans.
    • Deals should be reasonable and proportional to the things being loaned out.
    • Don't continuously request interest payments for not being able to repay the loan.
    • There should be an easy way for players to return items to you even if offline.
  • Deals must be documented thoroughly with proof. Screenshots required.
5

Misc Rules

15

Alt Accounts

  • Alts are allowed, but must be logged off above 50 online players.
  • You can own multiple accounts, but only two of your accounts are able to be online at the same time, server wide.
  • You may only actively do work on one account at a time.
    • Mainly pertains to blocking two accounts from doing jobs at the same time.
    • Waiting for an item cooldown counts as actively working.
  • You can only vote up to 2 accounts per day.
  • Do not give yourself the starting money or claim blocks on an alt account.
  • Do not use alt job furnaces, and do not do quests on alt accounts.
  • Using accounts you do not own is not allowed.
16

No Mini-modding

  • Includes regular players moderating other players' behavior on staff's behalf, especially if there is an active staff member already dealing with the situation. Eg. telling someone to stop spamming chat when a staff member is already talking to them about the situation.
  • If asked or allowed by the staff member, you can help.
  • It's okay to remind players of the rules if you think they are being broken, though in general just open a ticket or find a staff member.
  • Calling attention to vanished staff is considered interfering with staff duties.
17

Do Not Bypass Punishments

  • Joining with another account after being banned will result in a harsher punishment.
  • Do not use signs or books after being muted. You can use off-server chatting methods like private Discord calls.
18

VPN Usage

  • VPNs are allowed, but are at the risk of the player. Whenever a player logs in, their IP is recorded, thus using a VPN has the risk of associating your username with a banned player. To avoid any sort of issues, it is recommended you do not use a VPN.
19

No Gambling

  • This includes making casinos, chance based games, and mystery boxes.
  • The rule is to protect players and reduce staff needing to constantly check for malicious intent. Therefore if both parties are friends and allow it knowing the risks, you may engage in this kind of behavior.
6

Lag Rules

20

Machines & Entity Limits

  • Machines built must be as useful and efficient as possible to not cause any unnecessary lag.
  • If possible, machines that run constantly and don't produce anything useful should be turned off when not in use.
  • Chunk loaders are not allowed.
  • Machines or farms that make use of water sources constantly being retracted and spawned are banned.
  • Limits per chunk:
    • If you have something built before these limits and are over them, it won't destroy or modify your existing build, though you won't be able to add more or modify the build until you are below the limit.
    • Bypassing the lag restriction is not allowed, including asking other ranks to build for you. If you do share a claim with someone with higher limits, they must actually be actively using the claim.
    • Armor stands: 16 · Item frames: 80 · Transportation (minecart, boat, furnace minecart): 6.
    • Mobs: 24. Eg. in a chunk you could have 12 chickens and 12 cows, or 24 cows. Mobs won't spawn after the limit. Villagers are NOT included and are not limited.
    • Max entity cramming is set to 6.
